Renault Duster 7-Seater (Boreal) SUV to Debut Globally on July 10

Renault is all set to introduce its much-awaited 7-seater SUV, officially named the Renault Boreal. This new model will mark its global debut on 10th July 2025. The launch will first take place in Latin America, followed by rollout in over 70 other countries, including India in 2026. Once introduced, the Renault Boreal will compete with rivals such as the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.

Engine Options

The upcoming Renault Boreal 7-seater SUV will share its engine lineup with the next-generation Renault Duster, scheduled for launch in 2026. The SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 167bhp. Additionally, the Boreal will also come with strong hybrid and mild hybrid powertrain options to cater to various markets and emissions norms.

Interior and Features

While Renault has not yet officially revealed the interiors of the 7-seater Boreal, it is expected to borrow its cabin layout and feature list from the new-generation Duster. Some of the key expected features include:

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • 7-inch or 10-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Wireless phone charging
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Powered front seats
  • Multiple airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
  • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite

These features aim to enhance both comfort and safety for all passengers across all three rows.

Design Details

In terms of styling, the Renault Duster 7-seater (Boreal) will retain the rugged and bold design language of the third-generation Duster. The front will feature a robust black grille showcasing Renault’s new logo, LED headlamps, black fog lamp housing, and a pronounced bonnet, giving it a tough, SUV-like stance.

Other design elements include:

  • Squarish wheel arches
  • Alloy wheels
  • Black cladding around the body
  • Black roof with silver roof rails
  • Shark fin antenna
  • Body-coloured door handles

At the rear, the SUV will sport a large black bumper, LED taillamps, small roof spoiler, and a silver skid plate, which all contribute to a more dynamic and sporty appearance.
